We started life back in 1933, charging batteries and accumulators for wireless sets. Now, we’re the UK’s second largest Electrical retailer.
This growth first began in 1968, when we pioneered out-of-town electrical retailing – an approach that proved so popular we’re still using it today. Over 40 years, a state-of-the-art Contact Centre, ‘Destination Store’ launch and a brand new website later, Comet is still one of the main players in the Electrical market.
With our ‘Come and Play’ branding introduced in 2010, Comet has gone from strength to strength. Establishing a new Customer Support Centre, opening more Retail Stores, developing non-Comet branded websites as well as an eBay site, and even launching an interactive mobile app!
This all leaves us in a very strong position – with over 240 Retail Stores, a Head Office in Rickmansworth, Business Centre in Hull, 2 Contact Centres, 15 Services Locations and award-winning websites, all relying on our 8,000 colleagues to keep them running smoothly.
