We also ask you about whether you have a disability because this may be relevant to your ability to perform the role, whether you have special needs that should be catered for as part of the recruitment and selection process, whether adaptions need to be made to the workplace, and also for equal opportunities monitoring purposes. We also collect other information such as age, nationality and racial /ethnic origin which are used for equal opportunities monitoring. Information relating to criminal convictions, disabilty and health, nationality and racial and ethnic origins is known as sensitive personal data and by confirming that you have read and understood this Privacy Statement and that you wish to proceed to the next stage of the website you are confirming your consent to the processing of this sensitive personal data.
All information gathered on the Cometjobs.co.uk site is stored and maintained in a central database, located at a supplier site in Reston, Virginia in the USA, in secure facilities that limit access to authorised personnel who can only access the information through a series of access-control procedures. All Comet employees are briefed about the company's privacy and security policies on a regular basis. The Cometjobs.co.uk website is regularly tested for security breaches to ensure that all information collected is secure from unauthorised viewing.
