I'm Sreena Patel. I'm the assistant category marketing manager for games.
I joined Comet straight after university (so that would be just over three-and-a-half years ago). I started out in a direct marketing position and then moved into commercial, where I've worked in vision and audio and now currently in games.
My job involves marketing games and games consoles. So day-to-day activities will include briefing in and signing off point of sale, press advertising, flyers, games guides and so on. I also have to do store communications. So anything that's happening with the games category, I need to tell the stores about it.
I think the culture at Comet is very, very unique. I've worked at some companies where everything's really quite rigid and formal and I think Comet's special because it is so informal, open and relaxed.
The best thing about working at Comet is that we always see senior people walking around. The commercial director actually sits on our floor and his office door is always open, so if you need any advice or any suggestions or just a chat we can walk in quite easily.
When I think of Comet I think of fun and energy. It's just a fun place to be.
