Nadya

My name's Nadya and I work in the Comet call centre as part of the third-party maintenance team

We deal with all the external contractors that work for Comet. It is good fun. My team as a whole is a good team to work with, so I do like my department.

I've worked at Comet for almost six years. They're pretty good as far as being quite flexible with the shifts. Rather than doing your average 9 to 5 shift, I do a 9.15 to 17.15 shift so that I can get my daughter to school before coming in to work. They're quite helpful when it comes to having a family. Really good and supportive in every aspect really.

In the call centre, you've got to chat to different people from all across the country and from different walks of life. So you need very good communication skills, and you need to be patient. I think I've become a bit more confident since working here too.

It‘s quite satisfying to know that, by the end of the day, you've made a lot of people quite happy and you've sorted out a lot of issues that wouldn't have been sorted out otherwise.

You get training along the way, and if you have any questions there's always someone there to ask. We depend on each other within my team to make sure we're up to date with new procedures.

It's a lovely company to work for. And where I work in my call centre, it's getting better every day.
